The Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is responsible for producing insights and driving business decisions by unlocking the value in Chainalysis’ corporate data. We work with internal stakeholders across the company, from Revenue to Finance to Product. Our goal is to accelerate Chainalysis’ growth and empower our employees to do their best work.
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for managing projects across EDA. This includes overseeing external projects in areas such as Data Strategy and Operations, Data Engineering and Data Analytics in addition to internal team management initiatives. This individual must be versatile, overseeing priority efforts while also building project structure/standards for the team(s).
In this role, you’ll:

Create and maintain internal workflows and processes

Work with EDA leadership to complete capacity planning and project commitments every fiscal half

Create and maintain project-specific documentation including charters, scoping, RACIs and updates
-
Manage, maintain and enhance the EDA team’s ceremonies (i.e. sprint planning, grooming, standups, etc) using JIRA projects and Confluence documentation

Partner with team leaders to break down larger epics into smaller, dependency-driven issues as well as define issue-level assignments and staffing

Drive EDA team members towards the planning and delivery of sprints as well as providing analysis like burn-downs and velocity

Work with other program and project managers within the larger Business Technology, Data and Analytics team on key cross-functional initiatives
We’re looking for candidates who have:

Previous experience within a data or analytics team as a scrum master or project manager

Hands-on experience with ceremonies like backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives

Mid-level Jira skills administering company-managed projects, epics and issues including users, roles, screens, issue types, workflows, components and reports
-
Experience identifying and managing project risk
-
Strong technical /non-technical documentation writing skills including project scopes, executive summaries and status reports

Experience with data governance and data management programs

Experience with analytics workflows that ultimately result in insights generation
Nice to have experience:

Understanding of gitflow and Github repositories

Familiarity with key AWS services and concepts like S3 and IAM as well as Infrastructure as Service platforms like Terraform

Familiarity with common enterprise business systems like Marketo, Salesforce and NetSuite

Understanding of key enterprise business processes like Go-To-Market and Quote-To-Cash

Familiarity with ingestion and integration tools like Fivetran and Workato

Knowledge of data warehouses with Snowflake, Databricks and/or Redshift

Business Intelligence (BI) platforms such as Tableau and Looker
-
Experience integrating Slack Notifications and Workflows with Jira projects

Experience with Jira Plans and advanced integrations with Toolchains for Github and Confluence

Basic SQL and/or JQL skills
