The Opportunity
“As a Senior Director for the Core Security Services Architecture team, you lead and guide a specialized team of Security Architects. This is a pivotal and highly visible role to lead the team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions across FICO’s cloud and on-premises environments. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and reliable security infrastructure solutions that adhere to FICO’s security and compliance standards. With your deep expertise in security architecture, and leadership, you will play a key role in shaping the security posture of the organization while mentoring and developing the next generation of security engineers and architects. You will also lead strategic initiatives to enhance security practices, streamline processes, and adopt cutting-edge technologies. You will provide technical leadership, setting the vision for security architecture, and ensuring that the team consistently delivers secure, innovative solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.” – Vice President, Cyber Security
What You’ll Contribute

Lead and mentor a team of Security Architects in the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructures across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and container platforms.

Develop and execute a strategic vision for infrastructure security, aligning it with the organization’s overall goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess security risks and implement solutions that mitigate those risks effectively.

Define and standardize security best practices and ensure their consistent application across all cloud and on-premises environments.

Lead the development and maintenance of security documentation, including architecture review documentation, policies, and procedures.

Drive the adoption of automation and DevSecOps practices within the team to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Provide expert guidance and thought leadership on emerging security technologies and trends.

Act as a key point of contact for executive leadership on matters related to cloud security and architecture.

Continuously evaluate and improve the security posture of FICO’s cloud and on-premise environments.

Collaborate across multiple departments, interfacing with executive leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders to drive security initiatives that protect FICO’s cloud and on-prem environments.
What We’re Seeking
-
Proven experience in leading and managing security teams, with a track record of delivering secure, scalable solutions.

In-depth experience in security architecture and engineering, with a focus on cloud environments.
-
Deep knowledge of AWS (certifications preferred), with experience in Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as a plus.

Demonstrated experience in transforming legacy security models to modern, cloud-native security frameworks.

Expertise in automation tools and scripting languages, including Python, Bash, Ruby, and CI/CD tools like Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform and Crossplane.

Strong understanding of SASE, Zero Trust security models, and secure network constructs.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards achieving ambitious goals.

Experience in managing compliance initiatives and working with regulatory frameworks.

A strategic mindset with the ability to create high-level security strategies and translate them into actionable plans.

The targeted base pay range for this role is: $175,000 to $275,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.
