Job Description:

This internship is to promote a master’s degree thesis on the topic “Materials recycling and sustainability of power transformer.”

We are seeking a motivated and talented intern to join our Hitachi Energy R&D team in Monselice (PD) Technology Centre.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting research and development projects related to power transformers. This internship will provide valuable hands-on experience and exposure to cutting-edge technologies in the field of electrical engineering and materials science.

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the study and development of R&D projects related the matters on the materials recycling and sustainability of power transformer power transformers.
  • Collaborate with our team of experts to analyze materials used in electrical engineering.
  • Conduct research on materials properties, performance, and sustainability.

Preferred Education:

  • Master’s degree course in electrical or mechanical engineering (better with a background in materials for electrical engineering) or materials engineering, or materials science or in chemical engineering.
  • Familiarity with the reuse, recycling, and disposal of materials or life cycle assessment (LCA) will be consider a plus.
  • Experience in the construction of electrical machines or transformers will be considered a plus.
  • This internship is also for university students who are looking for a bachelor or master thesis internship on these fields of application.

Specific Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Excel and database usage.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or in other similar programming language will be considered a plus.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
