Director, Consumer/Customer Insights (DCS)
What does a successful Director of Insights do at Fiserv?
Data Commerce Solutions is an enterprise business unit at Fiserv that leverages our global data ecosystem to enable deeper and richer value from our data assets, thereby driving a virtuous network effect. As part of this organization, you will have the opportunity to make a large impact to the overall success of this business and the impact we will have on a broad cross-section of our data customers. The experience you bring, along with your creative thinking will help to expand our innovation and execution with excellence.
Using your strong data analytics skills, product management know-how, and leadership ability, you will help develop and manage market-leading insights, analyses, and product solutions. You will interact with product managers, data analysts, engineers, data scientists, client management teams, and other functions to bring products to market.
What you will do:
- Develop and maintain an understanding of businesses that produce data used by the Data Commerce organization to build products.
- Have a deep understanding of user journeys and user experience; identify and fill insights gaps.
- Crystallize the insights into relatable, actionable terms that are tailored to the intended audience.
- Perform data exploration on databases and data sets as needed to build effective analyses that drive decision-making, establish leadership, improve user experience, and drive growth.
- Work closely with the product management, engineering, data analytics, data science, and operational support teams to help build and optimize products.
- Produce process documentation in support of products including information around relevant data, analytics, and core operational and technical processes.
- Interact with clients and partners to solicit feedback on company products and services.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree OR 8-13 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience and/or military experience.
- 9+ years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience working within CPG or category management functions.
- 5+ years of experience analyzing big data sets to build strategic sales plans, or to build analyses that leverage multi-variate data sets across demographic and consumption measures.
- Experience building presentations with impactful data visualizations.
What would be great to have:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience using Agile methodologies or JIRA project management tools.
- Experience using R, Python, SAS, SPSS, etc.
- Experience working in a dynamic, highly matrixed environment.
