The Mission Systems Operation Contract (MSOC) has an excellent opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the Performance Engineering team. System Performance Engineering encompasses the techniques applied during the system development life cycle to ensure the non-functional requirements for ground systems within the Mission Control Center Systems (MCCS) and Training Systems (TS) are met. Adherence to the non-functional requirements is also validated post-deployment by monitoring the production systems. The applicant will work in a dynamic team environment and will be responsible for working with the NASA customer, other systems engineers, and software engineers to understand system requirements and to determine the operation of the system through measuring and evaluating its system performance characteristics. The applicant will have the unique opportunity to support human spaceflight during the mission operation critical phases of launch, rendezvous, and landing.

Responsibilities May Include:
• Collecting raw resource utilization data from workstations, servers and networks from the development, integration and production environments
• Processing resource utilization data
• Managing, protecting and retaining the raw resource utilization data
• Provide resource metrics for platforms and networking devices
• Provide impact assessments and cost associated with critical designs
• Investigate system anomalies using current/historical system data and user reports
• Maintain technical performance measures
• Perform and support system testing and benchmarking
• Establish baselines of current system behavior tailored for specific investigations
• Estimate changes to system behavior given prospective modifications or additions
• Identify trends that may violate resource constraints
• Provide specifications for new equipment given current loads and required margins
• Provide support during critical phases or specified complex phase for manned spaceflight
• Perform cost, risk, supportability analyses for MCC systems
• Perform systems analysis, functional analysis, statistical analysis, trade studies and
requirements allocation

Qualifications:

Technical Project Manager, Enterprise Data & Analytics at Chainalysis – Mexico City


The Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is responsible for producing insights and driving business decisions by unlocking the value in Chainalysis’ corporate data. We work with internal stakeholders across the company, from Revenue to Finance to Product. Our goal is to accelerate Chainalysis’ growth and empower our employees to do their best work.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for managing projects across EDA. This includes overseeing external projects in areas such as Data Strategy and Operations, Data Engineering and Data Analytics in addition to internal team management initiatives. This individual must be versatile, overseeing priority efforts while also building project structure/standards for the team(s).

In this role, you’ll:

  • Create and maintain internal workflows and processes

  • Work with EDA leadership to complete capacity planning and project commitments every fiscal half

  • Create and maintain project-specific documentation including charters, scoping, RACIs and updates 

  • Manage, maintain and enhance the EDA team’s ceremonies (i.e. sprint planning, grooming, standups, etc) using JIRA projects and Confluence documentation

  • Partner with team leaders to break down larger epics into smaller, dependency-driven issues as well as define issue-level assignments and staffing

  • Drive EDA team members towards the planning and delivery of sprints as well as providing analysis like burn-downs and velocity

We’re looking for candidates who have: 

  • Previous experience within a data or analytics team as a scrum master or project manager

  • Hands-on experience with ceremonies like backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives 

  • Mid-level Jira skills administering company-managed projects, epics and issues including users, roles, screens, issue types, workflows, components and reports

  • Experience identifying and managing project risk

  • Strong technical /non-technical documentation writing skills including project scopes, executive summaries and status reports

  • Experience with data governance and data management programs 

  • High-level  understanding of ETL and reverse ETL pipelines 

  • Experience with analytics workflows that ultimately result in insights generation

HPC Optimization Engineer at Simons Foundation – 162 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY


POSITION SUMMARY

The Simons Foundation’s Flatiron Institute opened in 2016 and conducts scientific research in-house, supporting teams of top computational scientists. The Scientific Computing Core (SCC) is part of the Flatiron Institute and is led by Ian Fisk. This core develops and deploys the computing infrastructure—including new computational and statistical methods and storage and data-handling systems—necessary to support the research activities of Flatiron’s Centers for Computational Astrophysics, Biology, Mathematics, Neuroscience, and Quantum Physics. It also acts as a creator and disseminator of software tools for use by various scientific communities.

Primary Responsibilities

As a member of the Scientific Computing Core, the software engineer will be supporting a variety of open source projects across the Flatiron Institute, helping to make efficient use of various hardware accelerators, in particular GPUs.

The engineer will assist with:

  • deploying and optimizing various machine learning tools and applications
  • porting and optimizing HPC libraries and applications to accelerators
  • gathering and disseminating information about unified programming models and tools for developing portable accelerator code
  • preparing codes for deployment at leadership-class facilities with GPU-heavy architectures.
  • Responsibilities also include related software engineering activities: source code control (using git), debugging, documentation, testing and continuous integration.

This engineer will report to the Deputy Director of the Scientific Computing Core. This is a full-time position based in our offices in New York City.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science or related technical discipline.

Experience:

  • At least three+ years of professional experience with software development
  • Proficiency in C, C++ and Python required, familiarity with Julia, MATLAB, R, etc., is desirable
  • Parallel programming paradigms, especially MPI and OpenMP
  • GPU programming (CUDA or similar)
  • Optimization tools (monitors, profilers, nvidia-smi, nvtop, perf, htop, etc.)
  • Scientific programming libraries (BLAS, LAPACK, FFT)
  • Portable/unified programming models and techniques such as OpenCL, SYCL, OpenMP/GPU offloading
  • Linux-based HPC clusters required, familiarity with SLURM is desirable
  • Using and managing terabyte+ data sets

Au sein de la Direction Drive & Confort (Ampère Software) , notre objectif est de développer les systèmes ADAS d’assistance à la conduite et de sécurité active ainsi que l’ensemble des briques logicielles nécessaires au pilotage des Véhicule Autonome de demain.

Vos missions

The Role:

As a Senior Consultant, you lead our agile project teams to accelerate our customers’ digital transformation and drive Celonis’ international expansion. You identify our customers’ strategic priorities and lead your project team towards developing data-driven process insights using SQL and creating complex data models to ensure that customers receive maximum value. You will become an expert in all kinds of company processes such as Finance, Order Management, Procurement, Warehouse Management, Customer Service, Production, e-Commerce, Opportunity Management, Supply Chain Management. You always leverage the newest features and functionalities of the Celonis software, such as Process Analytics, Process Automation, Task Mining and Machine Learning. 

The work you’ll do:

  • Lead and drive the implementation process while delivering exceptionally high levels of service to ensure the optimal solution for our customers with our Celonis technology 
  • Transform the customer’s data using SQL to create the data model for your process analysis
  • Design and implement innovative analyses and execution apps and enrich them with Machine Learning algorithms or Task Mining to make the customer’s processes transparent and automated 
  • Analyze the data to identify process inefficiencies and understand the root causes to jointly suggest approaches to overcome them
  • Quantify the business and financial potential and present the most relevant KPIs to the management 
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Conduct value creation workshops and align measures to improve process inefficiencies 
  • Set the foundation of the path to value to make the long-term customer success journey happen

The qualifications you need:

  • Min. 3-5 years working experience in IT-Consulting, Management Consulting, Process Improvement or a similar area 
  • Proficiency with SQL or other programming languages (Python, R, Matlab…) and a strong interest in Big Data, Data Mining, and Process Mining
  • Strong communication skills and enjoy interacting with various customers to understand and interpret business processes
  • You are very dedicated and visionary and want to actively drive the Celonis Process Mining technology forward 
  • Excellent analytical skills, well organised and known for being a quick learner
  • Successfully completed your studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Information-oriented Business Administration/ Economics, Mathematics or a comparable degree program

Project Officer (Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electronics Engineering) at Nanyang Technological University – NTU Main Campus, Singapore


The College of Computing & Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for the position of Project Officer. The position is for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance. Successful candidates will conduct research and develop advanced deep learning and computer vision algorithms. Candidates are expected to have a strong background in relevant areas.

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • To independently undertake research in computer vision and machine learning.

  • To produce research reports and/or publications as required by the funding body or for dissemination to the wider academic community.

  • To undertake any other duties relevant to the programme of research.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

  • Strong background in machine learning and computer vision.

  • Publication records in machine learning or computer vision conferences/journals.

  • Knowledge of scientific or engineering software like PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, etc.

  • Research experience after a pre-university diploma would be desirable – related field (preferably worked in R&D sector with industrial experience in the project-related field).

  • Demonstrated experience in operations planning, project management activities, resources, equipment, information and execution of projects.

  • Knowledge of safety: Familiarity with safety management systems in laboratory and pilot-scale test bed is preferred.

  • Ability to work with limited supervision and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Ability and willingness to work some flexible hours.

  • Good command of English, both oral and written (as required for research work) along with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individual and professional groups.
