Job brief
We are looking for a Power BI Developer/Analyst that can create captivating visualizations across applications, portals, websites, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams. This professional should be a data storyteller, transforming raw, often complex data into interactive dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights. With and end goal of helping the business understand trends, patterns, and insights into their data, enabling informed decision-making.
In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis with strong knowledge of the Microsoft Power BI Stack. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator. If you also have a business acumen and problem-solving aptitude, we’d like to meet you.
Requirements/Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data preparation, data gateway, and data warehousing projects in a BI Developer/Analyst role using multiple tools/technologies.
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer and / or analyst
- Expertise in optimizing Power BI performance and troubleshooting data integration issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Background in data model design (e.g. semantic modeling) and data mining
- In-depth understanding of database management systems, data modelling, Massively Parallel Processing (MPP), ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
- Skills needed to analyze data, identify trends, advanced visualization techniques and provide insights that can help drive business decisions.
- Solid understanding of DevOps, DAX, SQL queries, Creating Dashboards and KPI visualizations.
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
- Manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
- Familiarity with Agile Methodologies
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment.
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, or relevant field
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship of a VISA such as F1, OPT, and H1B status.
Responsibilities
- Report Development: Building comprehensive Power BI reports and dashboards that succinctly summarize complex data sets, tailored to client-specific requirements.
- Data Modeling: Developing robust data models that support dynamic and scalable reporting solutions.
- Data Transformation: Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming it for business intelligence.
- Visualizations: Creating visual reports, KPI scorecards, and interactive dashboards using Power BI Desktop.
- Accuracy and Reliability: Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data presented in the dashboards and reports.
- Collaboration: Working closely with various stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical aspects of the business.
- Lead and mentor others on design and implementation of visualizations and dashboards.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and maintain the Power BI infrastructure to ensure its up-to-date and running smoothly.
- Additional responsibilities will include collaborating with product teams, business data analysis, project management, strategy development, and administrative duties for Power Automate and SharePoint
