As a Chapter Lead you have a dual role. As a Chapter Lead you have the complete overview and insight on the capabilities, expertise and experience of your chapter members and you will be responsible to decide on allocation of your chapter members capacity for the global backlog delivery demand coming from the Product Lead and Tribe Lead.

As Chapter Lead Data Science, you report to the Tribe Lead COO Analytics. Your responsibilities include:

  • Together with the Tribe Lead and Product Lead develop a view on the future of the LLM/LLMOps capability craftsmanship and drive continues development of your chapter members
  • Working closely together with the other Chapter Leads to discuss and align on required capabilities and capacity across chapters for delivery
  • Together with the Tribe Lead, Product Lead and other People Leads, decide on the allocation of capacity of your chapter members for the delivery of the global priorities
  • Steer and develop your chapter members to meet both their career goals and the organisation’s goals, driving engagement and results via inspiring leadership.
  • Act as an expert on the craftmanship development needs for Data Science
  • Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these
  • Work with your colleagues on the (global) backlog deliveries
  • Attract and retain the best talents, leading interviews when needed for your chapter

 How to succeed

  • MSc or PhD in Computer Science or similar domain, and preferably in Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, or Machine Learning.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in building Natural Language Processing or Information Retrieval pipelines and models
  • Experience with operationalisation of LLMs or Generative AI applications
  • You have an in-depth understanding of algorithms like Conditional Random Fields, Transformers, Recurrent Neural Networks, and Convolutional Neural Network
  • ·Management experience in an Agile organization. Management experience in a matrix set up is a plus.
  • A proven track record in analytics, backlog management and resource planning
  • Ability to lead teams of experts working in a highly complex and dynamic environment promoting awareness in others
  • Achieve optimum results by empowering teams
  • Passionate about developing teams to achieve craftmanship and personal development.
  • Experience in building “end-to-end ML software product” which has NLP/IR component
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills at the technical and business level
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum way of working

Technical Project Manager, Enterprise Data & Analytics at Chainalysis – Mexico City


The Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA) team is responsible for producing insights and driving business decisions by unlocking the value in Chainalysis’ corporate data. We work with internal stakeholders across the company, from Revenue to Finance to Product. Our goal is to accelerate Chainalysis’ growth and empower our employees to do their best work.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who will be responsible for managing projects across EDA. This includes overseeing external projects in areas such as Data Strategy and Operations, Data Engineering and Data Analytics in addition to internal team management initiatives. This individual must be versatile, overseeing priority efforts while also building project structure/standards for the team(s).

In this role, you’ll:

  • Create and maintain internal workflows and processes

  • Work with EDA leadership to complete capacity planning and project commitments every fiscal half

  • Create and maintain project-specific documentation including charters, scoping, RACIs and updates 

  • Manage, maintain and enhance the EDA team’s ceremonies (i.e. sprint planning, grooming, standups, etc) using JIRA projects and Confluence documentation

  • Partner with team leaders to break down larger epics into smaller, dependency-driven issues as well as define issue-level assignments and staffing

  • Drive EDA team members towards the planning and delivery of sprints as well as providing analysis like burn-downs and velocity

  • Work with other program and project managers within the larger Business Technology, Data and Analytics team on key cross-functional initiatives

We’re looking for candidates who have: 

  • Previous experience within a data or analytics team as a scrum master or project manager

  • Hands-on experience with ceremonies like backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives 

  • Mid-level Jira skills administering company-managed projects, epics and issues including users, roles, screens, issue types, workflows, components and reports

  • Experience identifying and managing project risk

  • Strong technical /non-technical documentation writing skills including project scopes, executive summaries and status reports

  • Experience with data governance and data management programs 

  • High-level  understanding of ETL and reverse ETL pipelines 

  • Experience with analytics workflows that ultimately result in insights generation

Nice to have experience:

  • Understanding of gitflow and Github repositories 

  • Familiarity with key AWS services and concepts like S3 and IAM as well as Infrastructure as Service platforms like Terraform

  • Familiarity with common enterprise business systems like Marketo, Salesforce and NetSuite

  • Understanding of key enterprise business processes like Go-To-Market and Quote-To-Cash

  • Familiarity with ingestion and integration tools like Fivetran and Workato

HPC Optimization Engineer at Simons Foundation – 162 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY


POSITION SUMMARY

The Simons Foundation’s Flatiron Institute opened in 2016 and conducts scientific research in-house, supporting teams of top computational scientists. The Scientific Computing Core (SCC) is part of the Flatiron Institute and is led by Ian Fisk. This core develops and deploys the computing infrastructure—including new computational and statistical methods and storage and data-handling systems—necessary to support the research activities of Flatiron’s Centers for Computational Astrophysics, Biology, Mathematics, Neuroscience, and Quantum Physics. It also acts as a creator and disseminator of software tools for use by various scientific communities.

Primary Responsibilities

As a member of the Scientific Computing Core, the software engineer will be supporting a variety of open source projects across the Flatiron Institute, helping to make efficient use of various hardware accelerators, in particular GPUs.

The engineer will assist with:

  • deploying and optimizing various machine learning tools and applications
  • porting and optimizing HPC libraries and applications to accelerators
  • gathering and disseminating information about unified programming models and tools for developing portable accelerator code
  • preparing codes for deployment at leadership-class facilities with GPU-heavy architectures.
  • Responsibilities also include related software engineering activities: source code control (using git), debugging, documentation, testing and continuous integration.

This engineer will report to the Deputy Director of the Scientific Computing Core. This is a full-time position based in our offices in New York City.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science or related technical discipline.

Experience:

  • At least three+ years of professional experience with software development
  • Proficiency in C, C++ and Python required, familiarity with Julia, MATLAB, R, etc., is desirable
  • Parallel programming paradigms, especially MPI and OpenMP
  • GPU programming (CUDA or similar)
  • Optimization tools (monitors, profilers, nvidia-smi, nvtop, perf, htop, etc.)
  • Scientific programming libraries (BLAS, LAPACK, FFT)
  • Portable/unified programming models and techniques such as OpenCL, SYCL, OpenMP/GPU offloading
  • Linux-based HPC clusters required, familiarity with SLURM is desirable
  • Using and managing terabyte+ data sets

Related Skills & Other Requirements:

  • Knowledge of general software engineering practices such as
    • Full Software Development Life Cycle, coding standards, code review and version control systems (e.g., Mercurial, Git).

Vos missions

  • Tester la solution et la valider.
  • Interagir avec les équipes qui travaillent sur les informations cartographiques pour comprendre les enjeux et les besoins.
  • Documenter et présenter la solution au sein des équipes logicielles impactées.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager, Data to lead the development of our data ingestion, analysis, and reporting products, with a special focus on preparing data for AI and Machine Learning (ML) applications. Key Responsibilities:

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of product management experience focusing on data products, with at least 2 years involving AI/ML data preparation.
  • Proficiency with Lakehouse architectures and Databricks.
  • Strong understanding of data ingestion, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data preparation for AI/ML.

Senior Scientist, Media Development

Just – Evotec Biologics’ Media Development group is seeking an emerging leader who is passionate about expanding worldwide access to biotherapeutics through the advancement of continuous bioprocessing technology and mammalian cell culture processes. This person will join a fast-paced, collaborative team to: 1) optimize media formulations at bench-scale for the advancement of low-cost biotherapeutics manufacturing technology, and 2) expand media development capabilities to Just-Evotec Biologics’ second site in Redmond WA. The position requires strong laboratory skills as well as a deep understanding of mammalian cell culture and the production of therapeutic proteins. A proven track record of technical skills in this area, as well as experience with laboratory set up is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively over teleconference and web-based meetings are necessary. The ideal candidate is curious, creative, engaged, and constantly looking for ways to advance and intensify scientific processes, streamline workflows, and improve technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead media optimization efforts that achieve titer, cell viability, and product quality targets throughout long-duration upstream processes
  • Establish a media development laboratory, integrating high throughput and automation protocols into existing equipment
  • Serve as a technical resource and represent the Media function on early- and late-stage cross-functional development teams
  • Transfer novel media formulations to Manufacturing, support large-scale GMP media preparation protocols and deviations
  • Author CMC regulatory sections as required
  • Drive advancement of the Just – Evotec upstream platform and incorporate novel technologies to characterize and model cell cultures

Qualifications:

  • BS in Cell Biology, Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field and 7+ years industry experience or PhD with some relevant post-doctoral experience
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) level understanding of cell biology, cell culture media development, and related analytical equipment. Perfusion technology experience is preferred.
  • Experience with DOE and statistical analysis, experience analyzing data using tools such as JMP, R, or Python. Experience with training machine learning models for optimizing high dimensional data sets preferred.
  • Experience with high throughput cell culture (e.g. deep-well plate assays, robotics systems such as Ambr)
  • Enthusiastic problem-solver
  • Management experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to make and follow through on goals
