Description du poste

Aujourd’hui, nous sommes à la recherche d’un Développeur Web Fullstack H/F qui collaborera avec Gilles, le Directeur du pôle.

Vous aurez en charge la conception, le développement et le déploiement des applications, notamment web, afin d’optimiser le déroulement des missions du cabinet.

Dans ce cadre, vous :

  • Collaborez étroitement avec les équipes de conception et de gestion de projet pour comprendre les besoins fonctionnels et techniques.
  • Utilisez des frameworks JavaScript pour le développement front-end et back-end.
  • Exploitez des bases de données SQL et NoSQL (Mongo db)
  • Participez à la conception et à l’implémentation de l’architecture logicielle.
  • Concevez et mettez en œuvre des API pour faciliter l’intégration des services.
  • Contribuez à l’élaboration de bonnes pratiques de développement et de codage au sein de l’équipe.

Qualifications

Vous justifiez d’une expérience d’au moins 2 ans sur un poste similaire, en développement web fullstack.

Une solide maîtrise d’au moins un framework JavaScript ou TypeScript (ex : React, Angular, Vue) ainsi qu’une expérience dans la conception et la mise en œuvre d’API RESTful sont nécessaires.

Vous êtes familier avec les principes de l’ingénierie logicielle moderne tels que le développement piloté par les tests (TDD) et l’intégration continue (CI/CD) et maitrisez les solutions cloud telles que Azure.

Enfin, vous avez une expérience pratique avec Python pour le développement de scripts. Une connaissance des outils et des frameworks de data science (ex : Pandas, NumPy) sera appréciée.

Department Overview

The Energy Policy and Procurement (EPP) organization procures energy-related products and manages PG&E’s policy activities for energy proceedings, actively participating in regulatory and legislative proceedings that shape the design and implementation of state, regional, and federal energy regulations, and policy. In addition, EPP is responsible for long-term planning, risk management, and compliance functions related to PG&E’s energy portfolio.

 

All employees are responsible for performing their jobs in accordance with PG&E’s vision and values and for conducting sales/procurement in accordance with PG&E’s Risk Management Policy.

 

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst position will perform portfolio analysis associated with managing PG&E’s commercial activities involving RA, energy, CRR, GHG, and LCFS procurement and support various compliance reporting obligations to the CPUC, CEC, CARB, and CAISO. The position must collaborate with internal and external partners to perform detailed analyses on one or more relevant compliance or procurement topics. Engage in commercial activities to ensure that sales/procurement meets various regulatory requirements at reasonable costs. The position will fulfill other duties as appropriate to any portion of the overall department.

 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The preferred work location is Oakland, CA. 

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.  

 

A reasonable salary range is:

 

Bay Area Minimum: $105,000.00

Bay Area Maximum: $169,000.00

 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain high-quality data infrastructure to support business needs. 
  • Software engineering experience building fault-tolerant, distributed, and scalable automation.
  • Create efficient, scheduled ETL pipelines and stewarding technical standards and quality.
  • Ability to lead sophisticated tasks such as development of forward electric position, development of procurement plans, or the evaluation of alternatives for mitigating PG&E’s risk exposure at the wholesale energy portfolio level.
  • Design, implement, and support a platform in providing access to large datasets. 
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, analysis, validation, documentation, and testing.
  • Support strategy development via analysis and quantitative measurement. 
  • Drives continuous improvement processes.
  • Participate in PG&E management and regulatory approval process for specific transactions.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in energy and environmental science, computer science, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent field of study.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant job experience

 

Desired:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Knowledge of wholesale energy markets, power/gas products (e.g., RA, Energy, GHG, CRR, LCFS), energy procurement contracts, energy trading, and regulations

What you’ll be doing:

Brief Job Summary 

  • The Data Enablement for Decision Intelligence & Analytics role works across data-focused projects in support of the Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) organization in the Data and Supply Technology Excellence team (DSTE), including the development, administration, and operation of applications. Role Purpose 

  • Develop, operate, and enhance data management and analytic-focused digital capabilities in support of DSTE team and GPS BIA. This includes development of decision intelligence and analytic solutions from solution design to testing, deployment, support, and full lifecycle management. 

Key Responsibilities (role/business capability) 

  • Operations Management:  Support the administration and operation of the Decision Intelligence platform and applications, including leveraging data components from Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) and other source systems. Provide tier-1 support to Decision Intelligence system end-users including, but not limited to user administration, troubleshooting technical issues, triaging support tickets, collaborate with appropriate technical subject matter experts from other teams to resolve issues. 

  • Data Engineering and Analytics:  Work with data/analytic technologies primarily Aera Decision Intelligence Platform and other tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, , SQL, Python, Java, AWS/Azure/MS Cloud Products and Domino Data Labs. Build data crawlers to extract data from source systems using proprietary ETL platform. Design and build data warehouse models in columnar databases, including Facts, Dimensions and Measures. Develop data processing scripts using SQL and be able to optimize complex sequences of SQL queries. 

  • Requirements Gathering:  Collaborate with different teams across GPS and GPS BIA organizations to assist in developing data requirements, data refinement business rules, acceptance criteria, testing approach, and change management plans for data management for analytic solutions.

The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco: 

  • Moloco Commerce Media (MCM) enables marketplaces to leverage the recent advances in AI for delivering tailored ads to relevant users, driven by first-party data. 
  • We’ve established our MCM’s product market fit with strong interest in our product. MCM is an important product that is key to Moloco’s continued success and is in a high growth phase. The Data Science/Applied Science team supports MCM’s growth by supporting the launch of new features through modeling, algorithmic and analytical excellence. As a data scientist in MCM, you will have the opportunity to work on and improve various components of our ad-tech stack including ranking, retrieval, auction/bidding and budget pacing. We highly value prior experience in working in ad-tech. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to influence R&D decisions and strategies: analyze a large dataset with queries and scripts, extract valuable signals out of noise, and produce actionable insights into how we could optimize Moloco’s complex bidding system. 
  • Build the right metrics for product areas and drive business collaboration with domain data expertise: improve performance monitoring of a large and complex ads ecosystem by establishing the right metric framework, and understanding cause-and-effect relationships across drivers; guiding ramp decisions through rigorous A/B testing.
  • Improve ML models through better data quality and insights: validate and quantify the efficiency and performance gain from hypotheses with advanced statistical methods.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Distinctive problem-solving skills, ability to articulate product questions, pulling data from large datasets and using statistics to arrive at a recommendation; ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. 
  • Have an interest in data, metrics, analysis, and trends from the mindset of helping a customer-centric business. Know when to apply statistical measurement vs 80-20 analysis for business growth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present information and analysis results effectively.
  • Statistics: strong knowledge and experience in experimental design, hypothesis testing, and various statistical analysis techniques such as regression or linear models.
  • Programming: experience with Python, R or other scripting language, and database language (e.g. SQL) or data manipulation (e.g. Pandas, Dplyr).
  • Ability to build positive relationships within the DS team and with our stakeholders, and work effectively with cross-functional partners in a global company.
  • 3+ years of work experience (industry or postgraduate) in data science related fields or an advanced degree such as Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline with 2+ years of experience.

Preferred: 

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Sciences)
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction

The Team

Man Central Trading (CT) is responsible for trade execution across a wide range of asset classes covering the global needs of all investment managers within Man group. The Algorithmic Research team is responsible for algorithm development, fast signal research and market impact modelling with the aim of maximizing P&L. We work in close collaboration with various systematic research teams across Man Group to maximise realized P&L of strategies. Algorithmic Research is one of the key focus areas for Man Group.
