NTU MSE is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join us as a Research Fellow to facilitate the research program in advanced microscopy funded by Singapore’s National Research Foundation and led by Nanyang Assistant Professor Yi-Sheng (Eason) Chen, the PI and a new MSE faculty member.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of project goals

Conduct high-quality research and disseminate outcomes in peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences
-
Participate in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate researchers
-
Collaborate with local/overseas research groups
-
Establish one or more independent research programmes under the guidance of PI and other senior mentors
-
Develop competitive funding proposals in collaboration with PI and other senior colleagues
-
Engage in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and contribute to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation
-
Contribute to the development of international and local research communities
-
Support the operation of PI’s research group, including recuitment and external engagement
-
Engage in developing and mainting a safe and inclusive work environment
Job Requirements:
-
PhD in Materials Science or fields relating to computational materials science
-
Good knowledge and experience in atom probe tomography and the related data processing
-
Good skills in programming, including Python, C/C++, and UNIX/Linux operating systems
-
Strong background in code development and machine learning
-
Good skills in working independently and communicating as a part of a team

Good attitude in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
