The Role:
This role is an exciting opportunity to be a critical part of the Real World Evidence (RWE) analytics of a high growth organization. The senior manager of RWE analytics will be involved in multi-disciplinary real-world data analyses across Moderna’s programs that are leveraging cutting-edge mRNA science to create transformative medicines for patients.
Here’s What You’ll Do:

Take a lead role in executing data analysis. Develop and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to drive insights from complex datasets.

Partner with cross-functional groups such as Medical Affairs, Epidemiology, Clinical, Pharmacovigilance, Health Economics and Outcome Research, Digital, etc., to support the development and execution of RWE strategies, protocol development, analysis plan development, implementation of analyses, interpretation of findings and dissemination/publications.

Serve as the data and analytical methodology expert for RWE data analyses, ensuring scientific rigor in the selection and implementation of appropriate analytical methods across various data types and applications.

Ensure the quality and consistency of analytical deliverables. Provide training and support to team members to enhance their technical capabilities.

Establish clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that RWE analytics align with overall business objectives.

Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance and fostering their development in data analysis.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

PhD (or equivalent degree) in statistics, data science, mathematics or related fields with 4+ years of relevant work experience in Biotech, Pharma, Regulatory agencies, or Clinical Research Organizations. MS (or equivalent degree) with 7+ years of relevant experience

Proven track record in hands-on statistical modeling and/or machine learning, with the ability to independently develop and execute complex analyses.

Hands on experience with prospectively collected RWD, and/or other RWD sources such as claims, electronic health records, etc.

High proficiency in using standard statistical software such as R, Python, and/or SAS, along with strong skills in database programming languages such as SQL.

Extensive knowledge on epidemiology, HEOR, medical affair and/or pharmacovigilance, and the application of retrospective or prospective observational studies to generate RWE

Strong problem-solving skills with an operational excellence mindset, capable of applying knowledge to address scientific and clinical challenges through data-driven solutions.

Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on hands-on execution and timely delivery.

Working knowledge of relevant FDA, EU, ICH guidelines and regulations

Experience working with and overseeing CROs, vendors, and relationship management preferred

Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams.

Ability to effectively collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
