Techno Functional Sys Analyst
Juniper is seeking an experienced Techno Functional analyst who consistently demonstrates talent and motivation to join our exceptional Enterprise Data and Analytics team in Sunnyvale. The Enterprise Data and Analytics team is part of the IT organization and is responsible for the data architecture, transformation, and engineering needs of various business functions.
In this role, the person will work with business stakeholders, project management office, and application development teams to deliver analytical solutions fulfilling business needs and driving transformative data programs.
Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple stakeholders in Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain Organizations to understand data problems, business needs and develop scalable analytical solutions
- Collaborate with business, engineering teams and other cross functional teams to drive requirements analysis and help architect & define and deliver end to end solutions that meets business goals
- Lead brainstorming sessions to gather requirements, perform data mapping exercises, conduct impact analysis and propose solutions for new business initiatives
- Write Design documents illustrating business cases, data requirements, data models and ETL designs
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that are scalable and reliable adhering to data warehousing principles and business goals
- Capture the user journeys and identify ways to improve existing pain points based on process optimization, technology, change management, or communication
- Work with the business, engineering, and product teams to create digital transformation experiences for team members and business users
- Build best practices for future reuse in the form of accessible, reusable patterns, templates, and code bases to facilitate data capturing and management
- Design role, data access policies, PII rules and drive security initiatives to secure application connections and Human access to data and various Cloud Data Platform features
- Work based on Agile digital execution and communicate across multiple cross teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Help simplify existing pipelines and models using latest cloud technologies as and when available to positively influence the usability of data to drive business outcomes
- Ensure alignment with upstream processes (in Salesforce, SAP, Oracle etc.) with the reporting solutions
- Evaluate and perform data quality, data profiling, data lineage, and metadata management
- Provide project management oversight on project plans, execution, and outcome including communicating progress, risks, mitigation plans and potential improvement opportunities
- Solve complex data problems to deliver insights that help the organization achieve its goals
- Advise, consult, mentor, and coach other professionals on technology, processes, data standards and practices
- Foster a culture of sharing, reuse, design for scale stability, and operational efficiency of data and analytical solutions
Qualifications
Ideal candidate must demonstrate strategic vision and complete understanding of running transformation initiatives involving people, process, and technology
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
- Minimum 10 years of experience in data analysis, Data Warehouse, Data Modeling & reporting experience implementing complex technical solutions using modern software development technologies and methodologies
- At least two (2) years’ experience, working on projects utilizing Snowflake or Databricks.
- At least five (5) years’ experience with the resource was the lead responsible for data modeling, designing and implementing solutions including data normalization, data denormalization, and data aggregation.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, data warehouses, data lakes, and data integration techniques.
- Experience and knowledge to navigate SAP or SFDC or OCPQ applications to understand data, check the transactions, data reconciliations, tests etc. is required
- Proficient in SQL and Python programming languages
- Prior experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Business Objects or equivalent is a must
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services, such as S3, lambda functions etc.
- Good understanding of business processes within Sales/GTM/ Supply Chain is required
- Exposure to Tableau or Business Objects is preferred
- Experience with designing and implementing complex ETL processes is an added advantage
- Experience with performing analysis, design, evaluation, modification, testing and implementation of BI and data analytics project is required
- Knowledgeable in using collaboration tools (Git repositories, JIRA systems, version control, etc.)
- Desire and ability to pick up new technologies quickly
- Strong problem-solving and design and/or research triage skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment
- Good understanding of Programming best practices, Architecture, code review process etc.
- Must be a team player and have worked with cross functional technical and business teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Salary: $123,750.00
Maximum Salary:$189,750.00
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $123,750.00 and $189,750.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
