Role: Application Engineer Manager V – (M5)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages a global team or teams of engineers to develop, validate, and deploy solutions to high-value problems at customer sites, with a focus on implant technology.

  • Leads the team in improving tool performance by integrating equipment expertise, process knowledge, and digital tools, such as data analysis, machine learning, and AI techniques. Additionally, aims to increase the productivity of the field workforce.

  • Ensures proper planning, alignment, and resource allocation for all projects or programs. Executes projects to deliverables and timeline, while effectively communicating progress to both working-level teams and senior executives.

  • Manages, coaches, and fosters the growth of team members.

  • Collaborates, cooperates, and influences others broadly to achieve results.

  • Develops systematic processes and leads the team in delivering differentiated, valuable, and sustainable solutions, scaling them in the install-base and beyond.

  • Be comfortable with ~20% travel both domestic and international.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in EE, MSE, ChemE, or related fields.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with a proven track record of successes.

  • Direct experience in people or project/program management is preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of semiconductor equipment and process.

  • Proficiency in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

  • Familiarity with DevOps and MLOps.

  • Strong project management, portfolio management, and leadership skills.

U.S. Salary Range:

$172,000.00 – $236,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
