Business Process Data Analyst (12 Month – Maternity Cover) 

  

Salary & Benefits: Salary £38,916 – £48,645 per annum dependant on experience, annual bonus, attractive pension scheme (Up to 10% company contribution), life assurance cover of 4 times pensionable salary and 25 days annual leave, bank holidays, plus a wellness day and development opportunities in line with the Data Analyst progression plan. Location: Bradford, Buttershaw / Hybrid Working  

 

Work type: 12 Month fixed term. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

As a Business Process Data Analyst, you will create and embed management information dashboards and provide insights to support Water Distribution teams to understand performance against operational, strategic, customer and health and safety objectives. Some of the main responsibilities include the following: 

 

  • To be the point of contact of the department to obtain meaningful performance metrics and data in a consistent format across all Water Distribution teams and processes. 

  • Define key performance measures aligned to operational processes and key objectives, working with Water Distribution managers/people leaders at all levels. 

  • Develop management information (MI) dashboards in Microsoft Power BI to provide clear visibility of current performance of operational processes and objectives across all Water Distribution teams. 

  • Use the management information you produce to transform data into information and provide ongoing analysis to provide understanding of drivers of performance, root causes and insights to proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities 

  • Handle ad-hoc requests for MI/Data/Reports to support business cases and delivery of change. 

  • Work with CI Analysts to identify, analyse, implement, and track progress of improvement opportunities. 

 

What skills & qualifications you will need: 

 

  • Previous experience of building reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI and Excel including the collation and processing of raw data from multiple sources. 
  • Ability to interpret and analyse large volumes of data. 

  • Ability to present MI in formal management reports & in management meetings. 

  • Highly numerate and strong analytical & problem-solving skills.  Able to present data in a clear and concise manner. 

  • Excellent IT skills especially in the use of Microsoft Office applications. 

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels across the business, including senior leaders and directors. 

  • Able to establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships. 

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team against tight deadlines under own initiative. 

  • Able to work on simultaneous projects and manage own time.
